ARTIST'S STATEMENT
"Watercolor has been my favourite medium because of its fast drying property. Because of this property, planning as well as spontaneity are critical in my paintings. The composition of a painting and the use of different techniques are important elements of my work. How to make good use of the white of the watercolour paper itself to bring out shapes and lights in painting is one of the techniques I value. It is so enjoyalbe and fulfilling to experience the process of painting from the start to finish. My paintings are of places like New York, Italy, Hong Kong, and San Francisco--all places I have been to in the past few years and for which I have strong feelings for their beauty. I like to share my works of art through my interpretations of those feelings. "
